A poem; I am lost do you see me?

I am lost do you see me?
I have been screaming so that you can find me,
Why can't you see me being me?
Life is too short  just to be,
I am lost do you see me?
I have laughed , cried, and really tried,
Why don't you see me?
I  have not whithered and died,
I am here screaming out loud,
I am lost do you see me?

My parents, if they were alive, would have been married 48 years today! I dedicate this poem to them. They both felt at one time the way I feel today. I am lost do you see me? Laurie 10/14/09

  1. Laurie, I like it that you honor your parents. Many people today do not.

  2. Secretia, they were both bitching people. By that I mean honorable human beings. I took care of both of them as they were in the process of dying. I held each of their hands as they took their last breath. Dad died in July of 1997. He was such a chunky funny man. My mother died in Novemeber 18, 2007. two years this year. Both my parents died in my home. 14 years ago my grandmother died here too. She had lung cancer. What a bitchy lady. I loved that about her! Thank you for that comment. You are right people take care of your parents. They are due the respect...
